Much like its Roslyn neighbor, the hamlet of Port Washington is made up of several distinct communities including Baxter Estates, Manorhaven, Port Washington North, Sands Point, Becon Hill, Manhasset Isle and the northern portion of Flower Hill. These areas share the same zip code, library and school districts but each has their own distinctive flair.
Port Washington is known for its easy commute to Manhattan. The Port Washington branch of the Long Island Rail Road can have residents from their home to Penn Station in just 25 minutes.
